LA JOLLA (May 19, 2004) – Henry DeVries will serve a two-year term as the president of the UCSD Alumni Association beginning June 2004.

DeVries is the founder and of the New Client Marketing Institute, a firm with offices in San Diego and Irvine. As group research director of the institute, DeVries helps professionals and consultants create new-client-generating systems. Through his 25-year business career he has researched specific systems, behaviors and strategies that can launch ordinary professionals, consultants and entrepreneurs into extraordinary success. His step-by-step trademarked systems have helped them achieve marketing returns of 400 to 2000 percent.

The UCSD Alumni was formed in 1964 by a small group of early graduates, and has grown today to represent more than 95,000 alumni of the perennially Top Ten ranked public university. The non-profit association works to provide alumni with continued access to the resources of the university, communicate UCSD news and happenings, and facilitate a network for alumni and student interactions.

The UCSD Alumni Association awards undergraduate scholarships, recognizes outstanding alumni, students and faculty, and brings alumni together through its chapters throughout the United States.

Active in the community, DeVries also serves on the board of the Executive MBA Program at SDSU and is an adjunct professor at UCSD Extension. He lives in Oceanside, Calif. with his wife Vikki and their four children.
