SAN DIEGO (May 1, 2000) – Henry DeVries/Communications has partnered with the High-Tech Marketing Alliance (HTMA) to create the HTMA Endowed Scholarship at UCSD.

Beginning in September of 2000, the scholarship will be awarded annually to a junior college transfer student who is majoring in communications. The scholarship winner must have a grade point average of 3.0 or above, be a full-time student and plan a career in communications or journalism.

“Sometimes everybody needs a helping hand, and this scholarship will aid motivated community college students obtain a degree from one of the top ten public universities in the nation,” says DeVries.

With initial funds provided by Henry DeVries/Communications and supplemented by HTMA, the scholarship will become an endowed fund in time for the 2005-2006 school year.
